Quality control: Accurately control the texture and consistency of the ointment through a kneading machine. Different ointments have different requirements for texture. For example, some ointments used for skin wounds require a thinner texture for easy application without causing additional irritation to the wound; Some ointments used for joints and other areas may require a thicker texture to maintain adhesion to the skin. Pre molding treatment: The kneaded material provides a good foundation for the molding of suppositories. The material processed by the kneading machine has suitable plasticity and uniformity, which facilitates subsequent molding through suppository molds. Moreover, the kneading machine can adjust the physical properties of the material, such as hardness and toughness, according to different suppository formulas and requirements, so that the formed suppository can melt and release the drug at the appropriate temperature.

For traditional Chinese medicine pills, various medicinal herbs are ground into powder and mixed with appropriate binders (such as starch paste, honey, etc.) into a kneading machine. The rotation of the stirring blade thoroughly mixes the drug powder and adhesive, forming a material with a certain viscosity. This process is crucial for ensuring the quality of the pills, as uniform mixing can prevent drug component separation during storage and use.

Pill making assistance: The kneaded material can be better used for pill forming operations. By squeezing the kneaded material through a specific mold or using a rolling method, pills of uniform size and regular shape can be produced. Moreover, the kneading machine can adjust the viscosity and plasticity of materials according to different pill formulas and requirements, thereby producing pills that meet quality standards. For example, some pills require a harder texture to ensure they do not deform during storage, while others require a relatively softer texture for patients to swallow.


Processing of pharmaceutical intermediates

Chemical reaction promotion: In the synthesis process of pharmaceutical intermediates, kneading machines can be used as reaction vessels. For some reactions that require high viscosity environments, such as certain organic synthesis reactions, the reactants are added to a kneading machine.
